Don’t miss our webinar on IP strategy

Our next webinar, on Thursday this week, promises to be essential for anyone who manages or advises on creating and managing a corporate IP portfolio

The webinar will take the form of a discussion: I will be asking the questions and (I trust) our speakers will be giving me their answers. They are Dana Rao, VP litigation at Adobe; Douglas Luftman, VP & chief IP counsel, NetApp; and Bill Soward, COO of Lecorpio.

We’ve already had some preliminary talks with them, and I think the webinar promises to be both interesting and informative.

In particular, the speakers promise to give us some insights into how their IP strategies are developed, how different parts of the company work together on them and how they have changed over time, as well as addressing issues such as target-setting, budgeting and auditing.

More generally, they will talk about the balance between quality and quantity in an IP portfolio, the tools that can help you improve the process and how to become more efficient.

These issues have always been important, but have become more so recently, thanks to the emergence of non-practising entities and the new opportunities that are available under the America Invents Act, notably IPR proceedings.

The webinar takes place on Thursday this week, starting at 6pm London time/1pm New York/10am West Coast. It’s free to register, and will last an hour. There will also be time to ask questions of the speakers.

Register to attend here.
