1)      Top 50 most influential people in IP 2019

The month’s most popular article was Managing IP’s Top 50 list. We picked influencers from a range of countries and specialisms for their notable efforts in shaping the IP landscape in 2019. The list was split into categories including industry leaders, public officials and judges.

2)      In house: clarity over Amazon role should ease counterfeit burden

In our second most-read article, counsel in the fashion, appliances and jewellery sectors said an EU opinion from advocate general Manuel Campos Sánchez-Bordona in Coty Germany v Amazon should stop Amazon from acting merely as a seller.

3)      Lawyers explain how to keep a lid on IP costs

Next up on the list was our article that explored the challenges in-house counsel have in ensuring that IP costs don’t spiral out of control. Counsel at TGI Friday’s and others said budgeting is one of the most important issues they face.

4)      China generics push a bitter pill for pharma to swallow

In fourth place was a piece on the views of innovator drug companies, which expressed concern over the large number of generics being approved in China before patents had expired. 5)      From pass rates to pay: a guide to judicial recruitment in Europe
