EU design law needs more harmonisation, say lawyers
Lawyers have said that the EU’s design system works well in practice but that more harmonisation is needed, with a month to go before a consultation on the legislation closes
The European Commission launched the consultation in December, seeking views on the effectiveness of the Design Directive and the Community Design Regulation. The commission wants to evaluate the current system in case any changes are necessary.
