He joined the office on November 16 and was previously the chairman and managing director of the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Co Ltd. According to his profile, he has also been Inspector General of Registration & Controller of Stamps - Maharashtra, general manager - BEST, vice chairman and managing director of MSRTC, collector of Amravati & Satara and CEO of Akola Zilla Parishad.

He has worked in the administrative service for 23 years.
