Prior to joining Ashurst, Rieken (pictured) spent seven years at Hogan Lovells. He advises on IP and fair-trading law, including litigation, licensing and transactions.

In January this year, general practice firm Noerr promoted Tobias Dolde to partner in Alicante. The firm’s IP department now has 17 lawyers, including five partners, and 10 trade mark paralegals.

It says it is planning further expansion.
