At a panel discussion in Washington DC earlier this week, academics debated whether the increase in patent litigation is truly a sign that the patent system is malfunctioning and the USPTO’s role in the problems
The panellists discussed whether there was evidence that the patent system was beneficial to the economy and to innovation, as well as the question as to whether the patent system is malfunctioning.
