EU patent agreement postponed until next year
There will be no EU patent deal this year. But agreement on the package comprising two regulations and an international agreement could be reached under the Danish presidency in the first half of 2012
In a vote yesterday, the European Parliament’s legal affairs approved the two regulations establishing the unitary patent (which will initially cover 25 of the 27 EU states) and the accompanying language regime.
