Oil service companies settle UK Supreme Court case
Schlumberger and EMGS have agreed a cross-licensing agreement over geological surveying patents, rather than have their case heard by the UK Supreme Court in February
Schlumberger had appealed following a Court of Appeal ruling led by Lord Justice Jacob in July 2010, which found EMGS’s patents valid. That overturned the High Court under Mr Justice Mann, which had found the patents invalid for obviousness.
