Dentons hires former MetroPCS deputy general counsel in Dallas

Garreth Sarosi has joined Dentons' intellectual property and technology practice as a partner in the Dallas office

Sarosi was previously deputy general counsel and staff vice president of MetroPCS Communications, a wireless carrier that announced a merger with T-Mobile in 2013. During the merger, Sarosi handled all regulatory investigations, including those with the Federal Communications Commission and Securities and Exchange Commission, related to the deal.

In the role of deputy general counsel, Sarosi directed all of the company's IP-related litigation, including false advertising, non-compete agreement and patent, trade mark and trade secret litigation.

He began his legal career at Morgan & Finnegan in New York. In 2002 he relocated to Dallas and joined the office of Jones Day.
