Jenner & Block’s patent litigation co-chair Truax named managing partner

Terrence Truax has been elected managing partner of Chicago-based law firm Jenner & Block, effective May 1

Truax has been at the firm 26 years and is co-chair of its patent litigation and counselling practice. He will succeed Susan Levy, who leaves the 450-attorney firm at the end of April to become executive vice-president and general counsel at Northern Trust Corporation.

Truax has served on the firm’s management committee since January 2007 and subsequently has served on the firm’s policy committee since 2009.
