MIP International Women's Leadership Forum 2019

January 30, Waldorf Hilton Hotel, London

Overview

Managing IP hosted the fifth annual MIP International Women's Leadership Forum in London on January 30.

As well as focusing on European and international IP developments, the event continued to provide an opportunity for women in IP to network and learn from industry thought leaders.

Throughout the day, dynamic discussions examined best practice and innovation around leadership, techniques for efficient and effective management of IP, and how to embrace change and empowerment through communication. Leading general counsel and IP counsel shared their valuable experiences, thoughts and insights with the audience to promote the next generation of leading IP women.

2019 introduced focused breakout groups around:
  • Exploring the value of work-life management
  • The importance of an inclusive culture: progress on diversity and equality
  • Smashing the glass ceiling and helping others to progress
With such positive (and frank!) discussions, the breakouts will certainly see a return next year, to continue to encourage a wider debate around not just women in the workplace but equality, diversity and inclusion as a whole

An overall roundup can be read here.
