Mike Crane's background is focused in the areas of trademark, copyright, social media, advertising/marketing, social media and technology law.  He has led the trademark and soft IP teams at two major US companies; Capital One (what's in your wallet?) and leading Internet bank ING DIRECT.

Mr. Crane is currently working on the book A Social Media Survival Guide, which is due to be released in the fourth quarter of 2018.  He is currently located in Philadelphia (where he was pleasantly stunned to see 2017 Eagles win the championship), where he is the Immediate Past President of the Greater Philadelphia Chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel, and he is a proud graduate of Rutgers School of Law.

Oliver Herzfeld

Oliver Herzfeld oversees all aspects of the Legal department of Beanstalk, a leading brand licensing consultancy. Prior to joining Beanstalk, Oliver was chief legal officer of w-Technologies, a leading wireless software firm, and general counsel of The Capital Markets Company, a technology solutions firm focused on financial services. His responsibilities included commercial, intellectual property and employment law, as well as dispute resolution. Previously, Oliver served as functional general counsel of intellectual property, technology, and licensing at J.P. Morgan & Co. Incorporated. Oliver began his legal career as an associate at Sullivan & Cromwell where he worked on a broad range of corporate and securities matters.

Helen Wu is Commercial, Advertising, and Intellectual Property Counsel at JetBlue. Helen completed her law degree in New South Wales, Australia where she is licensed to practice as well as in New York. She has extensive experience as an Advertising and Marketing Law counsel having previously worked at MRY, a Publicis owned digital agency based in New York and experience in the travel industry within the legal team at Orbitz, an online travel agency while based in Australia. Prior to that she was a contracts and litigation lawyer at DLA Piper.

Nicholas Bartelt

Nicholas Bartelt is the Distinguished Senior Fellow at the Fordham IP Institute where his work focuses on researching IP law and policy, with an emphasis on copyright and trademark. In this role, he is primarily responsible for substantive legal projects including research and editorial work on amicus briefs, academic publications, and developing the IP Institute's programming in other media.  His most recent article "Ninth Circuit's minor logical extension of Rogers" Test permits an 'Empire' of expressive uses' will be published in upcoming volumes of the Journal of Intellectual Property Law & Practice and GRUR Int.

In addition to his work at the Fordham IP Institute, Nick counsels individual creatives and small businesses in transactional and disputed copyright and trademark matters.
