UK IPO appoints new CEO

The IPO has appointed head of Companies House Tim Moss as its new chief executive

Moss replaces Sean Dennehey who took on the role of acting chief executive following the departure of John Alty to the Department for International Trade last July.

He joined Companies House in March 2012, and during his time at the helm he led various organisational changes including free online access to its register. Prior to joining Companies House, Moss spent 12 years in senior operational roles in the manufacturing industry. He was recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours 2016 for his "services to the Economy and to the community in Swansea".

Moss is expected to take up the new position in May.
