Swiss patent court will promote settlement
Switzerland's new Federal Patent Court, which will open at the beginning of next year, will aim to settle around 50% of cases within seven months, its president said today
Speaking at the IPO Judges Conference in Brussels, Dieter Brändle said the new Court will be a big change in Switzerland, where IP cases until now could be heard in courts in any of the country's 26 cantons.
