Why India objects to ACTA

ACTA will undermine future agreements and fail because of its narrow focus, an Indian official argued today. The EU, Mexico and Japan vehemently disagreed.

Speaking at a panel on international agreements at the Global Congress in Paris, chaired by Managing IP, Chandni Raina of India's Ministry of Commerce and Industry said ACTA's pluralistic and secretive nature made any multilateral agreements far harder.
