IceTV wins EPG copyright case in Australia

Australia’s High Court has ruled in favour of electronic programme guide (EPG) producer IceTV in a case that could weaken protection for databases in the country

Six judges from the Court ruled unanimously on April 22 that IceTV, an independent producer of EPGs, had not committed copyright infringement by borrowing information about the name of programmes and the time they would be played from the schedule...
