Taiwan to revamp IP regime
IP owners in Taiwan are set for a busy 2008 after the new director-general of the Taiwan Intellectual Property Office (TIPO), Wang Mei-hua, revealed plans for a series of revisions to the country’s IP laws
Wang said on December 31 that TIPO will actively promote revisions to the Patent Act that will include sections dealing with animal and plant patentability, and reforms to the design patent system.
