Peter Detkin joins Sherpa, and other North America people moves
Sherpa Technology Group, White & Case, Arent Fox, Conversant, Hughes Hubbard & Reed and Neal Gerber & Eisenberg are among the firms making recent intellectual property hires, as well as the USPTO announcing PPAC and TPAC members
Advisory firm Sherpa Technology
has appointed Peter Detkin as senior advisor. This
coincides with Sherpa Technology Group's rebrand from 3LP
Advisors. Detkin is a founder of Intellectual Ventures and
holds more than 40,000 patents. He will remain involved with
the company. Before founding Intellectual Ventures, Detkin was
a vice-president at Intel Corporation, where he oversaw Intel's
patent, licensing and litigation departments. "We have decided
to rebrand ourselves as Sherpa Technology Group to emphasise
our role as an experienced guide that enables our clients to
reach the peak and achieve their ultimate objectives," said
Ralph Eckardt, managing partner of Sherpa Technology Group.
White & Case has added to its recently-established
Boston office with new partner Christopher Carroll.
Carroll provides clients with prosecution services and
strategic counseling in all areas of intellectual property and
maintains a dual-practice in London. He comes to White &
Case from Ropes & Gray where he was counsel...
