Trade mark practitioners need to step up and engage emotionally in political debates about IP protection, Microsoft attorney Chris Oldknow said last week
Speaking at the 26th annual MARQUES conference in Athens, Oldknow warned that campaigners against IP rights were winning the emotional battle, for example in the recent lobbying against anti-counterfeiting and piracy proposals ACTA and SOPA/PIPA.
