Microsoft and Sony are latest inter partes petitioners

In the second week of inter partes review and covered business method filings, only one IPR petition, by Sony, has so far been added to the USPTO's patent review processing system
Since September 16, 33 inter partes review (IPR) and seven covered business method (CBM) petitions have been initiated. However, only 13 of the IPRs and six of the CBM cases were officially submitted to the USPTO and are now accessible on the public portal.
The bulk of petitions were filed last week, but this week Sony filed one IPR petition against Tessera. The patent being challenged is for a method...
