Responses to Managing IP's China in-house survey suggest how foreign attorneys can attract Chinese outbound business.

Chinese companies most commonly rely on cost information (73 responses) and recommendations from contacts (60 responses) when picking law firms, emphasising the importance of building good relationships when doing business there.

However, once they pick a law firm, respondents say that the most important consideration for them is proficiency in their own law (71 responses), though cost...
