Monday September 3

The Licensing Executives Society (LES) is holding its Asia Pacific Regional Conference in Tokyo until Tuesday.

German pharmaceutical company Bayer is due to try to overturn a compulsory licence for cancer-treating drug sorafenib at India’s Intellectual Property Appellate Board in Chennai.

Tuesday September 4

WIPO is hosting a two-day sub-regional conference on the enforcement of intellectual property rights for judges in Vilnius.

Thursday September 6

The Court of Justice of the EU rules in two trade mark cases. Storck v OHIM, relating to an application to protect the shape of the company’s chocolate mice, should clarify the rules on obtaining non-traditional Community trade marks while United States Polo Association v OHIM deals with the likelihood of confusion.

Friday September 7

Republic Polytechnic and the IP Office of Singapore are hosting the Technology Forum 2012 conference on September 7 in Singapore.

Sunday September 9

The LES annual Scandinavia Conference begins in Helsinki.

The IPO begins its annual meeting in San Antonio, Texas.
