Wednesday August 15

The European Chamber of Commerce in China invites members to meet with the Shenzhen Science and Technology, Industry, Trade and Information Committee in Shenzhen.

The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines is holding a course, “Patent Information Search Seminar Refresher Course II”, in Cebu on the 15th and 16th.

The Australian High Court is expected to release its decision in JT International SA v Commonwealth of Australia, deciding the constitutionality of Australia’s tobacco plain packaging rules.

Thursday August 16

The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry will on a seminar “Curbing Counterfeiting and Smuggling - an Imperative for Indian Economy” in Jaipur.

The UK Department of Health will publish its latest statistics on smoking levels and the results of research into attitudes to smoking, a week after it closed a consultation into plain packaging of tobacco products.
