McKool Smith has boosted its IP litigation practice with the addition of veteran ITC trial lawyer Kent Stevens.
Stevens, who was previously a partner of Cadwalader Wickersham & Taft, has joined the firm as a principal in its Washington, DC office. He handles Section 337 investigations before the ITC and matters relating to ITC investigations before the US Customs and Border Protection and the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
McKool Smith recently opened an office in Silicon Valley, the firm’s eighth office. In September 2011, it merged with Hennigan Dorman, a Los Angeles trial firm. The move increased McKool Smith’s litigation team by 35 lawyers, and expanded its IP and commercial litigation practices to the West Coast.
