Stopfakes.gov unveils new design

Managing Intellectual Property

The redesigned STOPfakes.gov site has a host of new tools, including a country-specific resource library of IP rights.

Other new features include a way to identify and contact specific US government agencies, a list of private sector resources, and links to help consumers spot counterfeit and pirated goods.

Since 2004, the International Trade Administration’s (ITA) Office of Intellectual Property Rights has managed the site, with special focus on educating small and medium-sized businesses, government officials and the general public about IP rights.

With the USPTO, IPEC and other US agencies, the ITA promotes fair trade around the world through the enforcement of trade laws and agreements.
