Complainants prosper in .xxx RES cases

Brand owners and individuals have succeeded in each of the 12 completed .xxx disputes under new arbitration, according to statistics obtained by Managing IP

The National Arbitration Forum (NAF) in the US has been operating the Rapid Evaluation Service (RES) mechanism – designed exclusively for disputes over adult domains.

According to the data, 15 cases were filed at the NAF from December 6 2011 to January 31 2012. Arbitrators rejected two other complaints for “extreme non-compliance”. The reasons ranged from complaining about .com websites to omitting large amounts of information.

Of the 15 cases filed, 12 have now concluded – all in favour of the complainant. The remaining three are pending. All but one of the cases...
