ICE targets Super Bowl fakes

If you managed to score tickets to Sunday’s Super Bowl for less than the average resale price of about $3,500, you might want to check they’re not fakes before making the trip to Indianapolis

Immigration and Customs Enforcement and other government agencies have seized more than 65,000 counterfeit items and 307 websites hosting fake goods or pirated content in anticipation of Super Bowl XLVI between the New York Giants and New England Patriots. The game will be held at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis on Sunday.

The initiative – officially dubbed Operation Fake Sweep – began on October 1 last year and will continue through Super Bowl Sunday.
