A Russian organisation preparing gTLD bids for .moscow and .mockba (Cyrillic) has chosen Sedari to provide registry services.

Sedari will support the Foundation for Assistance for Internet Technologies and Infrastructure Development, a non-profit organisation in Moscow that is backed by the city’s government.

According to Sedari chief executive Liz Williams, this is the company’s first city gTLD partner and one of a number of internationalised domain names applicants it is advising.

Other known city bids include .london, .berlin and .sydney.
