Public Interest Registry appoints new COO

Managing Internet Intellectual Property

The Public Interest Registry has appointed Nancy Gofus as chief operating officer.

Telecoms specialist Gofus joins the .org operator from a non-profit organisation called Volunteers of America. She will lead sales, marketing and product development teams at the registry.

Gofus has previously worked at Verizon Communications as vice president of global product management.

Dot-org is the third largest gTLD behind .com and .net.
