Icann said yesterday that there are now 25 gTLD registrants in its online TLD Application System, one week after the application stage opened.

This does not mean that there are 25 applications though, as each registrant can apply for at least 50 strings when securing a slot in the system.

Minds + Machines, which said today it will provide registry services for the .bayern gTLD, registered 20 applications last week.

Applicants must register their gTLD slots by March 29. The application stage closes on April 12.
