Nine Chinese authors have sued Apple for Rmb11.9 million (1.8 million) in a copyright infringement case

The group, operating through the China Written Works Copyright Society, brought the case in Beijing’s No 2 Intermediate People's Court accusing Apple of providing 37 copyright-infringing works in its App store.

The same society has also condemned the Google Books deal in October 2009. Other Chinese authors took Baidu to court in 2011 for allowing pirated versions of their books to be downloaded.
