Partners Morten Merx and Hosea Haag, of Taylor Wessing and Heisse Kursawe Eversheds respectively, are teaming up with two lawyers from HK Krüger Rechtsanwälte to open a boutique in Munich.

The two additional founding partners of the new firm Ampersand Rechtsanwälte, which will launch in January 2012 and cover all areas of IP law, are HK Krüger lawyers Alexandra Heÿn and Thomas Schafft.

Morten Merx is a member of the life sciences and healthcare practice at Taylor Wessing and previously worked at Lovells before the firm's Munich office appointed him as a partner in 2006.

Patent lawyer Hosea Haag worked at Bird & Bird and Hammonds prior to joining Eversheds, where he has been partner since 2010.

Heÿn focuses on copyright and media law while Schafft works across both IP and IT law. The pair joined HK Krüger from Lovells.
