Unicef is looking for a vendor to possibly help it apply for a new gTLD

Unicef has put out a request for information (RFI) for vendors to look at potentially helping the organisation apply for a new gTLD.

On the value it sees in applying, the UN organisation said in its programme information section: "Taking the long view, as time goes on a name such as www.donations.unicef and www.cards.unicef will become more intuitive in a more crowded Internet, and thus more valuable because the name reflects exactly that of an organization and declares what it does."

The RFI questionnaire must be sent to Unicef by July 30.
