Law enforcement agencies target domain names

Last month’s Icann meeting in Brussels and the recent seizure of nine domains by agencies in the US show the increasing presence of law enforcement in the domain name system

Last Wednesday at press conference in Walt Disney Studios it was revealed that nine domains have been taken down as part of an initiative called "Operation in Our Sites" to fight IP theft on the internet. The initiative is between American movie studios and law agencies.

Domain names that were seized included tvshack.net, movies-links.tv, filespump.com, now-moivies.com, planetmoviez.com,...
