GSK chief denies trying to stop parallel trade

The head of a trade group that represents European drugs companies has said that parallel trade of pharmaceuticals has a “legitimate place” in the EU
Speaking at a press conference at the annual meeting of the Association of the Pharmaceutical Industry in Europe, EFPIA president Andrew Witty, the CEO of GlaxoSmithKline, said that recent lawsuits launched by EFPIA members against parallel traders were not designed to prevent the grey market trade in pharmaceuticals.
