CHINA: Lovells has recruited China IP specialist Cliff Borg-Marks as a consultant in its Beijing offfice. Borg-Marks worked as a diplomat in Beijing in the 1980s and led the IP practice of Baker & McKenzie in China in the 1990s. He now focuses on commercial IP, due diligence and government lobbying.

• France: Sophie Havard Duclos, former head of the IP/IT team at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Paris, has joined Laude Esquier Champey. She will become the fourth partner in the litigation, arbitration, media and IP boutique, which was set up in 2008. Before joining Freshfields in 2007, Havard Duclos worked at Escande and Gide Loyrette Nouel....
