Deloitte has released a list of 100 brands that could form the basis for a protected marks list in future TLD rights-protection schemes
Icann formed the Implementation Recommendation Team (IRT) to focus on overarching issues in trade mark protection for the possible launch of new gTLDs in 2009. The Team's report identified a globally protected marks list (GPML) for major brands as an essential protection.
