While patent practitioners wait for the Supreme Court ruling in Bilski v Kappos - which could come as early as next week - you can choose sides in the business method battle right now

In November last year, inventors Bernard Bilski and Rand Warsaw brought their case challenging the USPTO’s rejection of their business method patent before the highest court in the US. The Supreme Court justices asked counsel for both parties some tough questions about patent-eligible subject matter that left the IP community wondering whether the Court may uphold the Federal Circuit’s machine-or-transformation test.
