Chinese search engine triumphs over copyright owners

Music industry association IFPI has again lost to Chinese search engine Baidu in a legal dispute over online copyright infringement

On January 26 the Beijing no 1 Intermediate People’s Court ruled in two separate cases that Baidu and rival search engine Sogou had not committed copyright infringement by providing deep links to illegally uploaded songs.
