Icann Board favours expressions of interest process

Icann’s Board is likely to approve an expressions of interest (EOI) process for new generic top-level domains (gTLDs) in February
At last weeks meeting, the Icann Board decided that Icann staff should publish the Boards views on the pros and cons of an EOI process and instructed staff to draw up a proposal on an EOI process model for Board approval at its meeting in February.
The likely introduction of an EOI process will add another three or four months to the time when Icann starts taking applications for gTLDs,...
