Managing IP readers have given a clear indication of who they would like to lead the European Patent Office for the next five years
The EPO's Administrative Council, on which all its member states are represented, is set to elect the Office's next president at its meeting this week. But according to Managing IP's unofficial online poll, Susanne As Sivborg is the most popular choice among the four declared candidates with 45% of the votes cast.
Sivborg, a former EPO examiner and head of patents at AstraZeneca, is head of the Swedish Patent Office.
