Sisvel coordinates patent pool over digital TV

A group of telecoms and broadcasting companies are in talks to set up a patent pool for the IP rights in DVB-T2, a technology for broadcasting digital TV on terrestrial networks

IP licensing company Sisvel says it is coordinating meetings between patent owners including the BBC, ETRI, France Telecom, TDF, LG Electronics, Nokia, Radiotelevisione Italiana, Samsung, SIDSA, and Telecom Bretagne.
