Qualcomm to fight Japanese antitrust allegations

Qualcomm has hit back at accusations from Japan’s antitrust authorities that the company forced licensees to cross-license patents to it

In a statement issued last week, the company said it “strongly disputes the notion”.

At the end of July the Japan Fair Trade Commission (JFTC) issued a draft order against the US communication technologies company for abusing its market dominance. The draft order asserts that Qualcomm's Japanese licensees were forced to cross license patents to Qualcomm...
