EPO software patent decision due later this year

The EPO’s Enlarged Board of Appeal could deliver its opinion on questions referred to it over the patentability of computer software before the end of this year
In an interview with Managing IP, the chair of the EBA Peter Messerli said: “In the CII case, we hope to settle the referral later this year or early next year at the latest.”
