Rambus suffers setback in patent battle

The USPTO has initially rejected 41 claims related to seven of Rambus’ patents that have been challenged by computer technology company Nvidia

Nvidia challenged the patents after Rambus, which owns patents related to computer chip technology, filed a complaint with the International Trade Commission in November last year.

In its complaint it sought an exclusion order against Nvidia products that Rambus said infringed nine of its patents. The accused products incorporate several types of memory...
