China’s top 10 IP cases – exclusive translation (subscriber version)

The Supreme People’s Court has published its list of the top 10 IP cases in China in 2008.

The cases, listed below, were published on the Court’s website on April 21. They range from a criminal case involving passing off of registered trade marks to a claim of copyright infringement by Porsche.

The court publishes a list of top 10 IP cases annually that it believes have helped develop IP case law in mainland China. At the same time, the Court has also published a wider list of what it deems the 50 landmark IP cases in 2008.
