The
survey results will be published in the May issue. The list will profile the in-house counsel who are most effectively protecting and enforcing their brands and will include managers from the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
To nominate in-house counsel you think should be included among the list of trade mark leaders, simply fill in the form online. The form takes only two minutes to complete and you can nominate up to three people in each of the three regions.
This will be the first time the magazine has profiled the leading in-house trade mark managers, and comes as brands play an increasingly important part in corporate strategies.
The top trade mark managers will be selected based partly on recommendations from Managing IP's readers.
To be eligible, managers can have any role in their organisation's trade mark or legal department, including prosecution, domain name strategy, IP enforcement/anti-counterfeiting and licensing.
They can be lawyers, trade mark attorneys, paralegals or other professionals and they can have global or local responsibilities.
They can work for corporations, charities or educational institutions. Practitioners working in law firms will not be included in this article.
The responses are all confidential. However, you can also indicate if you would be interested in being interviewed for the article regarding what makes a good trade mark manager and what lawyers look for from their clients.
The May issue, and the names of the top trade mark leaders, will be unveiled online on May 1.
