Microsoft sues TomTom over Linux-based products

In its first lawsuit to challenge Linux-based software, Microsoft has filed complaints against global positioning system (GPS) maker, TomTom, alleging infringement of eight of its patents related to GPS technology
Microsoft filed the complaints in the US District Court for the Western District of Washington and at the ITC.
The patents in suit cover inventions that "enable a vehicle computer system to run multiple applications, provide more natural driving directions, integrate other devices, and access the Internet".
