Non-US companies captured the majority of new US patents for the first time in 2008, according to data compiled by IFI Patent Intelligence
The study suggests that US corporations may be losing their edge in the patent race, as the worlds largest companies place increased emphasis on IP protection. The trend was especially evident in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Germany...
