The Section of Intellectual Property Law of the American Bar Association has submitted a report to the Obama transition team outlining seven key recommendations for 2009

Many of the Section's concerns addressed the direction of the USPTO. The report urged the transition team to choose a new USPTO director who has "the qualifications called for in the ABA policy", which demands that the Office head "be a lawyer having experience in patent and trademark law, knowledgeable of both domestic and international laws concerning these matters, and well...
